more joy!

Today we are so very thankful... 

 ...for quiet, air conditioned! places to rest (our hostel room in Singapore)...

 ...for fresh salads and cool smooth Frosties...

...for a friendly, helpful staff at our hostel...

 ...for wild monkeys and boars at the reservoir...

(sorry it's not a better photo! There were dozens of monkeys 

and at least three of these wild pigs on the hill just above us! exciting!)

...for a delicious dinner at Eleanor's home with all the family...

 ...for fields of breathtaking orchids...

...and Nah's thoughtfulness to bring umbrellas to share in the rain-showers!...

 ...for a surprise ride given by our wonderful hosts, Eleanor and Nah,

up the Singapore Flyer for spectacular views of the city...

(thanks for everything, Eleanor and Nah!)

...it was the perfect activity for Michael who had so little energy but wanted to DO something!...

 ...for a beautiful ferry trip on our way to the Hong Kong guest house...

 ...for another peaceful, restful place to stay...

...for my old generation one Kindle that Michael had brought for the trip,

and has willingly loaned to me while he reads another book!...

thank you, Michael!

 ...for your prayers, and for Michael's seeming improved health today!...

...for amazing adventures together!

And most of all, for God's nearness through it all.

Whom have I in heaven but You?

And besides You, I desire nothing on earth.
