Just for the record...
...we love the library.
There are no public libraries in Davao.
Government funding is not available for such a luxury,
and the climate,
with high heat and humidity,
termites and mold issues,
is not a friendly one for books.
Here in the US, with the ability to go online and order materials to be sent directly to our local library branch, we are reveling in all of these amazing, free options for reading, movies, and researching.
In case you are wondering about those career option books...
we're definitely not looking for a job change;
Amy and Elise are just researching options for the future!
You can never get a cup of tea large enough
or a book long enough to suit me

Time to boil water for a cup of tea,
and dive into a great book...

Wow! With that stack of LONG books no wonder I'm hardly hearing from you!!! ;-)
 only ONE of those books was for me!!! truly!! ♥
That is one thing I LOVE about being home on furlough too. We take advantage. All of our family bought kindles last time...seemed like a luxury to buy 4 and we usually don't splurge like that, but they have been great to have.
Happy reading!
I just ordered almost 5 kilograms of tea for you to take some back to your island home and for me. Think you it would be enough? ;)
WOW! you must be thirsty!!! ;) THANK YOU, Kay!!! i'd be happy to take a little of that 5k back with me...but i wish i could take you, too!
:) we've loved our Kindles, too, Olive Tree - i think they are God's gift to folks like us. i was heart-sick when i broke my Kindle en-route to the US in May. but i'm enjoying all these real books now!
