crocodinner

By presidential decree,
as of last Thursday,
today has been declared a non-working holiday in Davao.
It's in celebration of Araw ng Davao,
the commemoration of the birth of this city on March 16th, 76 years ago.

Here's one unique way to celebrate...
barbequed croc on a stick anyone?

Incidentally, the city shares this birthday with my brother...
Happy Birthday, Steve!  Hope you celebrate with something more appetizing.

Have yourself a nice day off then, if you choose to take it! (We don't take all local holidays.) Have a great week!

thanks, Betsy! we didn't take the day off, but that means summer break comes earlier. ;)

ewwww. Now maybe if it were a gummy croc on a stick that would be palatable!

Barbecued croc I think not for me. I wonder if the old saying applies: "tastes just like chicken."

sorry, Hank - i haven't tasted it, so i don't know how close it is to chicken. Mark is talking about our need to give it a try sometime though...!
