uniformed

It's the first week of August, and Faith Academy Mindanao is back to school. Summertime was very quiet around here, with many families from the school community out of town, but in the past couple of weeks people have been flooding in, and the campus is once again a busy place. It's been great to see everyone back again!

Earlier this year our family spent several weeks discussing, praying, weighing the pros and cons, and praying some more, and we came to the unanimous consensus that we would continue to home school, at least for this coming school-year. Faith Academy has been very gracious in allowing us to participate in elective classes, and we are so thankful to have the option to choose this combination for educating our children. It has been a great balance for us.

Amy, Elise and Michael joined the school for their opening assembly on Thursday morning.

Our home school classes won't begin quite yet, since we don't take all of the same holidays in Faith's schedule. Barbara is now buried in curriculum, planning out the year's schedules, learning how to track High School hours and credits, and preparing to get back into the school routine. Meanwhile, these three students are enjoying just a little more summertime freedom before hitting the books.

Don't let school get in your way of an education!
