a wrinkle in time

 At 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6th,
our family loaded this little vehicle with our baggage.
We were on an island in Hong Kong which has virtually no motorized vehicles,
but the guest house manager took pity on us, seeing all the luggage we had,
and arranged for us to have it transported down to the dock.

Meanwhile we hiked down to the dock, almost a mile from where we were staying.

By the time we reached the ferry we were pretty hot and sweaty!

From the ferry we walked some more,
pulling our luggage down stairs, up ramps, through a mall, up and down escalators!
Til we finally reached the MRT station that would take us to the airport.

We boarded our plane in Hong Kong at 12:25 p.m. on June 6th...

...and arrived in Seattle at 12:05 p.m. on June 6th.

It did seem a little like a wrinkle in time.

There we were met by loving family,

a car for our use while we're in this area,
and bags brimming with giant, sweet strawberries
and the bliss of fresh blueberries!!
(thank you, Judy!)

I'm glad you didn't have to carry your luggage a mile to the ferry! Welcome back!!!
