Yep, you guessed it.
A mouse.
He was just as startled as we were
when we caught him sneaking around behind the
drainboard after dinner.
Our cat was no help,
asleep on the windowsill outside.
But my hero Mark set a trap,
and that's the end of the story.

Hahaha! Love the two pictures! I know I wouldn't be laughing if it had been in MY house though! I hope the end of story means the mouse fell for the trap!
Glad that's the end of the story! We had an occasional mouse visitor in El Salvador, but none here in Turkey, thank heavens!
Thankfully, only one. Right?
that's right, Judy...the trap worked. ;)
:) glad you are mouse-free!
yes! only one...this time. ;)
Next time, let the cat smell the mouse tracks. The cat will go on the hunt and stay on it. Fun to watch. Bravo to Michael- learning to be the man around the house! Hank n Jane
Oops! I see Mark took care of the mouse, not Michael. Well, maybe Michael was watching so he can learn how to do it.
Hank
you're right, Hank! Michael was watching, and i'm sure he'd know what to do next time. :)
Love it! Not the mouse but the photo of the girls! Having a major rodent phobia, I would be up there with them if I saw one!
