a stack of styrofoam

What do you get when you combine a bunch of creative ex-pat friends
far from home at Christmas,
with not a lot of resources to decorate their temporary homes...

plus a stack of styrofoam,
some Christmas wrapping paper,
and a box of supplies brought from the U.S.?

Well, these amazing women came up with some pretty fun Christmas wall art!
You can find directions here.
And here's another link if you want to take it to another dimension!

We covered the styrofoam with wrapping paper
(the directions on-line call for scrapbook papers, which is great, too,
but for Christmas the wrapping paper seemed to be just right!)

and added ribbons and bells and buttons and verses
while we enjoyed fellowship together.

We agreed that these 'disposable' decorations are an appropriate type for our lifestyles.  :)

Meanwhile, Elise, Amy and their friend Trea provided beautiful background music,
playing all their favorite carols for us...thank you, ladies!

For me, it was just a chance to share some paper tools and techniques!

We had fun with the extra supplies, too - here's Bebing, delighted with her wall art...

and Kristina, one of the Bible Club kids, with hers!

I can't think of a better use for a stack of styrofoam...

Dalayegon ang Dios sa langit
May kalinaw na dinhi sa yuta,
sa mga tawo nga iyang gikahimut-an!
Lucas 2:14

Glory to God in the highest
And on earth peace,
good will toward men!
Luke 2:14
